This series provides a forum for the best new work in this area; it takes a deliberately inclusive approach, covering immigrants and emigrants as well as native musicians. Contributions on all aspects of British music studies from the early seventeenth to the late twentieth centuries are welcomed, particularly those placing music in its social, cultural, and historical contexts, and addressing Britain's musical links with Europe and the rest of the globe.
